Working in Confined Spaces carries the risk of asphyxiation because the work area often has little air, with an oxygen level below 19.5%, which may cause workers to lose consciousness from lack of breathable air or from inhaling various toxic gases. In addition, there are many other hazards, such as those from flammable chemicals or explosives, as well as other dangers like electric shock, falling from heights, slipping, and so on.
The law therefore requires personnel working in confined space areas to complete the Confined Space 4 Roles work training course according to the criteria and methods prescribed by law. Employers must have employees with relevant responsibilities trained in the Confined Space 4 Roles.
